The Arnprior and District Family Health Team physicians endeavor to serve the members of our community and support the health and well-being of those within the region, however all our physicians are currently at capacity for rostered patients.

The Arnprior & District Family Health Team Organization recognizes that the community of Arnprior and District is growing and that there are a number of people who currently do not have access to a family physician. This is not unlike the rest of the country, where a recent survey indicated 1 in 5 Canadians report that they are currently unattached to a family physician (Angus Reid Institute and the Canadian Medical Association, Aug. 2023).

In response, the Ministry of Health is committed to finding healthcare providers for Ontarians. Please read: Ontario’s Primary Care Action Plan Connecting Every Person in Ontario to Primary Care

The ADFHT has applied for additional funding from the Ministry of Health to take advantage of these initiatives and support team expansion to entice physicians to our area.

Rest assured that your community and the ADFHT Organization, Arnprior Regional Hospital, along with the municipal leaders and our local Ontario Health Teams are committed to recruiting more physicians and to planning for longer term space requirements to allow physicians to work here.
