Psychologists provide assessments, education, advocacy and promotion of mental health and wellness using clinically-tested, brief screening tools and clinical interviews to diagnose and evaluate individual or family mental wellness and needs for support and treatment.  They collaborate with inter-professional health care team members and patients to offer support and treatment.  The ADFHT psychologist can assist with coping styles, emotional problems and provide treatment and psychotherapy for:

  • Individual, marital and family relationships/problems
  • Need-based psychotherapy for adults/adolescents and play therapy for children
  • Awareness and management of feelings, attitudes and lifestyles
  • Pain management
  • Addictions or substance abuse
  • Rehabilitation consulting and preparation
  • Navigation through the health care system
